Mmm.īTW, tried connecting the Blu ray Palyer to the amp direct resulting in the expected sound ahead of picture delay as the TV takes longer to process the video, so without an out board delay (Felston at £200?) i'm stuffedĪ grand well spent on "matching" components I think! They are sending me a disc to ensure my player has most up to date firmware and advised to reset the TV to factory settings to see if that works. So there you have it, watch your DVD's in PCM stereo with proper lip sync, or watch in glorious 5.1 Dolby with Lip sync errors that are within spec. After a few questions referred to their technician I was advised that " Switching the Blu Ray player to PCM Stereo corrects the delay, however if using Dolby 5.1, the -5 setting on the AV sync keeps the AV synchronisation within the spec of the Product" I have established that, ignoring the SPDIF out to the AV amp, ie listening via the TV speakler only, the issue is identical, ie it is not the AV amp causing the sound delay. Unfortunetely, -5 is not quite enough for most DVD's and -7 or -8 might be closer. When playing DVD's with Dolby 5.1 (DTS BTW is not forwarded by the TV spdif ) In order to get anywhere close to decent Lipsync, (the picture is ahead of the sound) the TV AV sync has to be switched on and maxed out to to -5. The player is connected via HDMI to the tv, and then onto my AV amp via the TV out SPDIF. Just realised, posted this originally in the wrong place - so posting again here :-Īs posted elswhere on further down this forum, I have a recently purchased LG 47LW650T 3d TV and matching LG BD660 Blu ray player, the combination causing Lip Sync problems.
